I am Simon Diss. Everything else begins there.

This is a personal space for the life I am living, the businesses I build, the ideas I cannot leave alone and the future I am trying to make real.

01 / Life in motion02 / Ideas made practical03 / Candid ownership04 / A very long horizon

A person before a portfolio.

I am interested in people, place, enterprise and the moment a seemingly impossible idea becomes practical. Some of that work becomes a company. Some becomes software, a place, a campaign or a provocation. Cowran is one consequence of that life; it is not a substitute for it.

Work, thought and unfinished things—without pretending they are separate.

01

Building

Companies, products and systems created around problems that feel too important—or too interesting—to ignore.

The practical work
02

Thinking

Notes and positions on AI, authority, care, place, enterprise and the machinery people inherit.

The ideas behind the work
03

Living

The places, people, experiences and convictions that make the work personal rather than corporate theatre.

The human context
04

Connecting

Conversations with people who see a problem, possibility or future worth pursuing together.

The open door

Personal does not mean indiscriminate.

This site can be candid without exposing family, staff, clients, private correspondence or commercially sensitive work.

Ideas in Simon's own name

A home for writing and thinking that does not force every subject through the Cowran Group identity.

02 / Portfolio

Cowran as one expression

The companies can be explored as evidence of practice, while Simon remains the subject of this site.

Publication boundaryPublic professional and owner-directed personal themes only. Family, health, finance, private communications and confidential business material are excluded.

Talk to the ideas, then choose whether to talk to me.

The interface can help visitors explore public work and thinking. It must never claim access to Simon's private life, private chats or protected knowledge.
